Envision.
Thinking [no matter how "critical"] is in vain without a vision of what our thinking does or can do in the scheme of all things.

My Vision:
The view of writing as either a process or a product should be replaced by a panoptic view, where critical inquiry of the product is a part of the writing process.
Act.
Envisioning is daydreaming if it is not followed by actions that mirror our deepest purpose.

My Actions:
I examine how metalinguistic and critical language awareness support students in becoming successful communicators in the 21st century's multilingual and multimodal society.
Reflect.
When acting [writing, speaking, signing, doing] is accompanied by careful consideration of why we do what we do, our actions become seeds of steady growth.

My Reflections:
By researching the forces that guide our teaching practices, we can develop a true postmodern approach to the teaching of writing that is more inclusive and meaningful.
